3 Great Ways to Include Older Siblings in Newborn Sessions

1. Allow them to get comfortable
Sometimes kids can be shy with me and that’s ok. I start by photographing the baby first and I like to ask questions about their new baby which gives them time to become comfortable with the pictures.
2. Let them take a photo
I want them to feel a part of the session.
Fujifilm Instax cameras are a great for them to have a keepsake of their own creation from the session. If you don’t have an instant camera I can bring one of mine!
3. Let them suggest a pose
Another way to include older siblings in the session is by letting them suggest a pose. As long as the suggestion is safe this is a great way to let them love on their new baby and show their own personality.
